Course Description
This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and practices of cybersecurity within an IT environment. Students will learn how cyber threats affect individuals, organizations, computer systems, and networks, as well as the basic strategies used to prevent, detect, and respond to security incidents.
The training covers essential cybersecurity concepts, common threats and vulnerabilities, network and system security, access control, data protection, safe computing practices, and basic incident response.
It is designed to help students develop practical cybersecurity awareness and a foundation for further study or careers in IT and cybersecurity.
Course Requirement
- Basic computer knowledge is recommended.
- No previous cybersecurity experience is required.
- Students should have access to a laptop or desktop computer for practical exercises.
- Basic knowledge of using the internet and common computer applications is helpful.
